Late December 2025 French American fusion fine dining restaurant within the heart of the Healdsburg town.

Decided to spend my wife’s birthday 🎂 celebration 🍾 ✨️ here and they graciously made it a memorable night for our family. From the personalized menu, card, and warm greetings from the staff and the 3rd generation owner Mr Valette we were very much overwhelmed by the hospitality and care that was provided.

Of equal mention is the food which definitely delivered professional standards and is meticulously deliberate in the balance of flavors and ingredients. The menu is very well constructed and pairs well with all the recommendations from our head waiter. Arguably the most notable duck dish we have had in this region. 😋 Their scallops are also imaginative as is their sub menu selection of shared dishes. Cocktail 🍸 are equally well crafted

Their service is integral to the whole dining 🍽 experience and their staff was definitely up to par as the secret ingredient.

The place harkens back to the depression era which was once started as a bakery and has gone through four generations up to its present evolution to a fine dining establishment. Some of its rustic historical charm still can be keenly felt in the furnishings and large panel mirror.

One does still feel the French provincial influences from the original migrant owners

Truly a culinary gem 💎 worth returning to

    Reservations are highly recommended

Ideal for special occasions, dates and family gatherings

Dinner at Valette was brilliant! The setting was perfect, the food was fabulous, and the wine was delicious. We ordered the Chef’s Tasting menu and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. GM Harry Bryan treated us like royalty. Frank is the best server. Valette rocks!

We saved room for dessert and were so glad we did! The two dishes we chose were both spectacular and demonstrated real creativity in the kitchen.
The Barrel Brothers Porter Spiced Cake was a cozy and deeply satisfying choice. The cake itself was incredibly moist and aromatic, featuring a warm spice profile perfectly complemented by the subtle, dark notes of the porter. Served in a luscious pool of what tasted like a brown butter or vanilla bean sauce, and topped with a cool scoop of ice cream, it was the definition of comfort dessert—complex in flavor yet wonderfully comforting.
On the other side was the brilliant ItsNotA ‘Snickers Bar’ Deux. This was a masterpiece of deconstruction and texture. Instead of a dense bar, it was presented as rich, layered segments—a perfect high-end nod to the classic candy. The elements of chocolate, caramel, and what felt like a nutty nougat were all there, artfully dusted with a fine crumble and served with a smear of intense chocolate sauce. It was a sophisticated, fun, and utterly delicious combination of crunchy, creamy, and decadent flavors.
Both desserts were plated beautifully and offered a perfect end to our meal. We highly recommend either one!

This successful bistro does a great job with locally sourced fresh ingredients. The Halibut is the best preparation I have ever enjoyed. Appetizers are inventive and executed appropriately. Service lacked attentiveness. Empty wine glass, delayed bread service, multiple service providers but not operating seamlessly as a team. The unfinished concrete walls and open rafters combine to create an acousticly noisy ambiance making dinner conversation a challenge.

Ok ok hear me out. The food was so delicious completely forgot to take photos of all the food. Started with the mussels(of which I’m not normally a fan of) but THESE….ohhhh these were amazing. I’m not sure what they did/do, but it needs to never change. Then moved on to the scallops, which were served in this puff pastry(I did get half a picture when it was on my plate) and the presentation is probably half the magic. Then ended with the steak-also delicious. Literally could not go wrong. Drinks happened to both be passionfruit, which found on the sweeter side for our personal taste, but still very good.
