The team on the sixth floor — Frankie, Brianna, Daisy, Anthony and the rest of the crew — are absolutely fantastic. They truly demonstrate what exceptional patient care looks like. As a patient, you can genuinely feel the level of care and dedication they bring to their work. There is no sense of division — only strong teamwork. They work seamlessly together, and that unity truly makes a difference in today’s world.
Let’s not forget their amazing food menu — the quality of the meals they offer is fantastic. It truly exceeded my expectations.
Last but certainly not least, my orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Juan Frisancho, is an extraordinary and exceptional physician. His professionalism, expertise, and bedside manner made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.

We have been taking my mom to Torrance Memorial for over 30 years, and I can strongly recommend their higher level of care and attention. There is no comparison to any others as this is medical facility is ,without a doubt, operating on an upscale level.

March 20, 2026 at 5:34 pmThe Best medical center in the South Bay. I have been an inpatient here twice and most of the rooms are private. The doctors are very nice and do a good job of explaining things to patients. The nurses are hard working, very accommodating and have great attitudes. The food is very good and they have a big patient menu. Also there is a multi level parking structure. I highly recommend this hospital.

On Wednesday afternoon, I developed severe, continuous abdominal pain that would not stop. I arrived at Torrance Memorial Hospital around 3 PM. Despite a very busy Emergency Department and many patients in pain, I was admitted surprisingly quickly, my wait time was approximately 30 minutes.
The medical team acted promptly: blood work was ordered and drawn, and an ultrasound was performed shortly after. No serious findings were identified at that time, and I was discharged with prescribed medications. Unfortunately, the pain did not subside and became even worse overnight, which forced me to return to the Emergency Department later that night.
Once again, the level of care and efficiency was exceptional. I was admitted quickly, additional blood work was taken, repeat ultrasounds of other organs were performed, and a CT scan was completed without delay. I was given IV fluids and pain management, and the medical team thoroughly evaluated all possible causes. After comprehensive testing, the doctors concluded that the cause was most likely a viral illness.
I do not have much prior experience with Emergency Departments, aside from one visit with my child at a different facility, but this experience truly stood out. The professionalism, advanced equipment, and knowledge of the doctors were all at the highest level. I felt listened to, taken seriously, and well cared for during a very frightening and painful situation.
A huge thank you to the nurses, doctors, and the entire Torrance Memorial team for your compassion, efficiency, and dedication. I am very grateful for the care I received.
