May 3, 2026 at 1:35 pmArrived at 4pm for happy hour and early dinner. Seated outside on the porch with comfortable seating and heaters for a cool breezy February evening. Our waitress Karen was a pleasure to have taking care of our table. Happy hour has half priced glasses or bottles of wine, so we had two bottles for our party of 4. The Sea Bass was enjoyed by two in our party, one blackened, one sautéed, both delicious. The beef tips with mashed potatoes were 8/10. The days vegetarian option was portobello mushroom “lasagna”, lightly breaded, house made tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil. The vegetarian option could stand on its own as a fabulous dinner option. Literally the best vegetarian plate ever. Karen was a superb waitress.

May 3, 2026 at 1:35 pmMy family and I first time coming here was okay. I found this place quickly on google and seemed like a good restaurant to eat which it was. I ordered the calamari which was good, my parents ordered the steak which they liked and my husband ordered the ribeye sandwich which wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Without the cheese tastes better but was not to my liking. The waitress was very nice. Just giving it a 4 bc the waiting time was a lil too long when the place wasn’t as packed. But overall would recommend if you have the time and want a decent meal. 🙂

May 3, 2026 at 1:35 pmWe had a fantastic meal at this small local restaurant. With only around a dozen tables it can be tricky in season but we were visiting the week after Thanksgiving so enjoyed the quiet on the island and had no problems getting a reservation.
Food wise after several meals of fish we were excited to dive into some red meat. The 8 oz fillet was grilled to perfection and came with two “sides” (although the “side” Caesar-$3 extra, would have served 2 easily). I enjoyed the beef tips special with a savory mushroom gravy served over garlic mashed potatoes. The bread service was fine but nothing special. Definitely save room for the outstanding chocolate mousse cake-huge slab of chocolate cake layered with a creamy chocolate mousse and covered with shavings of white chocolate.
There’s a decent wine list (beer and wine only here) and we enjoyed a nice brunello.
Service was super and we enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. Recommended

May 3, 2026 at 1:35 pmTried The Porch during our visit on AMI. Karen was our server and she was great! She gave awesome menu recommendations and let us sample local beers. We ordered the beach blonde ale, the shaved ribeye sandwich with Brussels, the blackened grouper po boy with cucumber salad, and a kid’s cheeseburger and fries for our little one. The portions are perfect for my husband and I to share each meal. We were impressed with the size of the kids cheeseburger and fries portion as well! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, and our amazing meals. Highly recommend while on the island!

May 3, 2026 at 1:35 pmI’ve gotta say this restaurant blew me away, I really enjoyed the bruschetta and their take on the calamari which was tossed in a ginger sesame sauce. Then for the main entree I tried for the first time and learned that I’m in love with Tamari, this was a Tamari Maple Glazed Salmon which I hope never disappears from their menu it was just incredible. Then I have to say there styling of this old house that had been converted to a restaurant is some thing I loved. It’s very charming, and adds to the overall positive experience I had, would love to stop by again when I’m in town!
**Full Disclosure, This review and associated pictures are from 2023 which is the last time I was in town, but I wanted to share on here since I’m realizing I never did. I still dream of returning!
