This only for Harris tower 4th floor pcu and patient advocates. Harris tower 4th floor left my wife (who couldn’t advocate for herself) unchanged for hours. So long it bled through her gown 1 sheet and 3 blankets and was visible with a stain about 1 foot in diameter. That was July 2nd until then she did not have any blisters, bruises or sores. On July 3rd I begged to be transferred to a different floor and when we got up to Harris 7 and they did an assessment, she had multiple bruises on her shoulder and arms. She also had blisters and sores on her skin where she was left uncharged.
Now for patient advocacy I called them on July 3rd Thursday morning. They called me back Tuesday July 8th. If I had relied on them to be an advocate for my wife she would probably dead by then. I asked for a supervisor and I am still waiting on a response it’s July 19th. What happened Texas health Harris? Where did the breakdown of communication go?

This complaint is strictly in regards to security officer Dunn. This employee lacks compassion and care in regards to families that have just lost a loved one. Thankful for the nurses and managers to advocate for our family, but Officer Dunn has no concern or regard of the circumstances for families based on his interactions that were completely unnecessary, disrespectful, and does not fulfill the mission and heart of the hospital. I hope that he receives appropriate training to better serve the community otherwise he poses as a deficit to your hospital system.

Well I am very taken back by this recent stay of my fathers. The social worker refused to respond to my email even though she had already sent me an email, so I know it’s a working email. I was uncomfortable talking to her on the phone, her name is Cindy Gorman. She lied to me telling me my father refused PT and wanted me to pick a facility to put him at. I tried at least 2 or three times via email and she ignored me. Then I was goin to call the patient care advocate and unfortunately Kristina answered the phone. I informed Kristina that I wanted an email that way I could have documentation and she denied me multiple times so I told her thank you and I hung up before I went to look for emails for human resources and others so that I can send my email and now I’m probably also going to be sending certified letters to hospital administration as well as human resources in regards to this because it is very alarming that this facility is denying people documentation of the correspondence with their staff, it wouldn’t be such a big deal if it wasn’t a complaint and if I hadn’t already been lied to, but I definitely need to be able to do this via email because I need documentation and you would think that they would understand that considering everything at that hospital revolves around documentation. I mean I guess I can understand that the ball is getting dropped somewhere because after speaking with my father‘s doctor, she had no documentation in regards to the stomach surgery that he had complications with , so I’m starting to think that documentation isn’t an important thing to this hospital, which is really scary because they are in charge of us at our most vulnerable and documentation legally has to be correct. I only know this because I was a nurse for a very long time. I have also never been denied , something like an email so that I could communicate it really sounds to me like they don’t want documentation of complaints or anything like that so they’re just refusing but the jokes on them I know exactly who I need to email and exactly where the certified letters need to go

If I could put zero stars I would. We walked into this hospital with our 2 year old son that was having trouble breathing. They took us back to a room and the Doctor came in and said I have some bad new. “Do you think you are at Cook’s children’s Hospital” We said “Yes”. He laughed we laughed a little. Then went over to Cook’s children’s hospital. Now I have a bill for twice at much at Texas Health Resources than at Cooks children’s Hospital. I called their customer service to dispute the charges since they already made money off our insurance. I didn’t understand why they wanted to make money off of me for not providing any service. The customer service representative would not provide me with the form dispute paper work because he said we saw the doctor. I asked around and found out this is happening a lot. The front desk administrators and bill admin know this and keep ripping off the public. They wait until you are in the room so they can charge you with a visit to the ER by seeing the doctor. Not funny. This is cruel and mean and spiteful business practice. I will file the proper paper work through the State and have the disputed charges removed but I am just saddened by the fact they know they have an issue and keep charging customer, children, and families charges so they can make a few more bucks.
