April 8, 2026 at 3:49 amIt was my first time in the Bahamas Ashram, I been to Sivananda Ashram in Canada(Quebec) few times. Bahamas ashram is pretty good, very beautiful place. You can’t beat it as winter escape from Canada. You practically have same beach as Atlantis. Loved the ashram. Could be a bit noisy, but that’s part of the deal.

April 8, 2026 at 3:49 amThis place is something truly special.
If you’re into amazing yoga, warm sunshine, delicious food, and a beach that will blow you away, this is the place to land, breathe, and just be.
I stayed in one of the little tents, and it was perfect—snug, peaceful, sheltered from the rain, yet full of fresh ocean air. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature felt like my own personal lullaby.
The daily schedule is wonderfully balanced, with tons of options for a true yoga-vacation vibe. And it never feels rushed—you still get plenty of time to wander down to the beach, float in the water, nap in a hammock, or simply melt into relaxation mode.
I’ve been two years in a row now, and I’m already booked for next year. It’s that good.
Every visit leaves me lighter, happier.

April 8, 2026 at 3:49 amI recently visited the Ashram and wanted to offer some reflections on my stay.
A bit of background: my partner has been to the Ashram several times (maybe seven times?) over the last decade or so and is what I would describe as a semi-regular yoga practitioner. I had never done any yoga prior to my visit (apart from a few attempts at sun salutations under my partner’s direction).
I enjoyed the experience very much over the four and half days we were there and I managed to take in eight yoga sessions, missing only one and managing to squeeze in the morning session on our departure day which tightened our timelines but was well worth it. Obviously, I attended the beginner sessions.
I found the instructors to be excellent. In addition to being masterful yoga instructors generally, they were patient, encouraging, nurturing and accommodating to me as a beginner and my initial trepidation was quickly erased. Bottom line is that I really enjoyed learning the basic elements of the hatha yoga and I have tried to continue with it at home.
My only regret is this: I attended the satsang on my last night (which included the third and final presentation by sleep expert Charlie Morley) and I now regret not attending the satsang every evening – and not just to see Morley’s first two presentations (which I really wish I had). As a mostly non-spiritual person, I found the experience to be profoundly moving. The reciting (singing/chanting ) of the Sanskrit verses (which I followed along with in the book) in particular were absolutely wonderful. It felt happy and cheerful and the full group participation (I can’t sing and didn’t feel comfortable trying, but maybe next time), made it a powerful and positive experience for me.
The food was great and I met some interesting people too. And if there is a more beautiful beach anywhere, I’d sure like to see it.
I shall return.
Blessings to all.
