Despite going on Valentine’s Day, the service was efficient. The French Onion soup was decent, and so was the quiche lorraine. However, the star of the show is desserts since the opera cake was really good and it was presented well, which makes it a standout from a typical dessert from a restaurant and this restaurant is worth going for the desserts alone despite steep prices.

We were visiting friends in Wichita from Houston, and this spot was such a pleasant surprise. Coming from a major food city, George’s truly exceeded our expectations. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, perfectly prepared, and generously portioned (we couldn’t even finish our plates). The beet salad with crispy goat cheese was outstanding, and the French onion soup—a classic choice—was exceptional. The golden, oven-broiled cheese around the petite serving bowl was absolute perfection. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making this a must-try dining experience in Wichita.

George’s is a great little restaurant. The French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. Went today for lunch and had the French dip. It was good but not great. The fries are fantastic. You can’t go wrong here.

An unbelievable find in Wichita. We never imagined we would find such great cooking in Wichita. I would put George’s up against the best in Dallas, TX and it would do very well. The service was totally on point. Our server knew all the intimate details about the food, wine and desserts. The food was exquisite. From the poutine, escargo and beef tar tar, to the salads, main dishes and desserts, they were all cooked to perfection and presented very well. It all was a big hit with our family and when back to Wichita, definitely will not miss dinner here.

This restaurant came up when I googled French restaurants in the area so I decided to try it. Went just around noon on a Sunday so the place was starting to get busy but there was no wait time which was great. I sat at the bar and ordered escargots ( though not on the menu for brunch, it was still offered which was awesome). The escargots were different from any other place I’ve had them. They were served with lots of cheese and mushrooms. Though unexpected, they were delicious. I then had the turkey club with truffle fries. Beware, the sandwich was massive! Overall I recommend this place and would return.
