I don’t know how we have not been here before. RJ bought grouper from the fish market 10 years ago, but we have never been to the restaurant. Huge mistake! Matt E was our server and he was friendly and efficient. We ordered the Poinsettia drink which was prosecco and cranberry, and vodka sprite. Matt brought fresh baked bread which was crunchy and warm. We started with the fried lobster tail, and we fought over every bite. It was large and juicy with a light, delicious coating. I ordered blackened grouper with lump crab, and he wanted chilean sea bass but they were out, so he went with the orange roughy. His was good, but my grouper was outstanding. The blackened seasoning had a kick, and the grouper was thick, flaky, and sweet with a hint of all the shellfish it ate before I ate it. We finished with a fantastic chocolate raspberry layer cake which was very fudgy and paired well with the raspberry. There is a nice bar on the way out. We asked if they had brunch but they do not. We wish they did as we are always looking for good brunch locations, but we will still be adding this to our list of favorites.

First time visitor at Feby’s. The restaurant had a considerable amount of patrons. We were immediately met by the hostess and seated within a few minutes.

The waitress came and took our order. She was nice but seemed a little short with her answers when I asked questions about the menu.

We ordered the oyster Rockefeller, fried lobster, clams, crab ravioli, lamb entree, and filet mignon entree. I’ll get into the clam issue in a minute.

I would not order the oysters again. They were dry and contained a sprinkle of what looked like cheese. The spinach was chopped and tasted frozen

The breading on my fried lobster was soggy from sitting so I gave it to my husband. As I could not eat it.

The crab ravioli and lamb entree was good. Minus they would not let me substitute the side (polenta). My husband filet was dry and overcooked. It was so dry and hard looking it could probably break a window with it.

Now the clams. The table next to me ordered clams, so I asked for an order because they looked good. The waitress says like theirs? I replied what do you mean. She says garlic white wine sauce. I replied yes. We get the bill and it’s a double order of clams. We inquired and the waitress says they had a double order. I replied you never said that and I did hear them place their order. She’s owns the issue, but I don’t think it was a mistake. How did she equate can I get an order of clams into two orders of clams?

The food was not bad, but a return visit would be a last resort for me. The first impression is supposed to be the best impression. This fell short for me.

We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I reminds of one’s of the old seafood restaurants in Baltimore. The wife started with Maryland Crab Soup (We’re from Maryland so we know good seafood), she loved it, but I thought it was bland. We ordered the Mixed Appetizers (2 of each, Shrimp le jon, Oysters Rockefeller, Clam Casinos and Stuffed Mushrooms), I loved everything, but the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms could have been cooked a little more. It was too soft for me. On to the stars of the night, other than my beautiful wife. The wife ordered the Crab Ravioli was outstanding. The quality, the taste and the presentation was excellent (Check out the pictures). I ordered the Mixed Appetizers (2 of each, Shrimp le jon, Oysters Rockefeller, Clam Casinos and Stuffed Mushrooms) with coleslaw, mixed vegetables and we travel a lot and it’s always hard to find a great Broiled Seafood Platter. We found one tonight this restaurant needs to in Maryland next to the water (Great Compliment). Onto the star of the night, it was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and the fish was Salmon. Most platter would have a secondary fish choice. To recap the night we found an outstanding Seafood spot in Delaware.

I absolutely loved my first experience here! The food was amazing and the service was spectacular. Our waiter was Dan and he was phenomenal. He made the experience wonderful with recommendations and he was so attentive. The all you can eat crab 😊😊 was a hit I’m going once a week from now on! I loved it!

Mixed experience here. On the positive side, the service was great. The gentleman at the podium last night was very helpful in showing us where to pick up our order. On the food side, we found the cod dry and the shrimp a bit rubbery, or overcooked. On the flip side the smelt was also quite soft rather than properly fried. I know this place has a solid reputation for seafood, so maybe we just caught them at a bad time, but it was a disappointing value for the cost.
