I appreciated the welcoming reception, and friendly check-out! Dr John was very professional, reassuring, and took the time to explain my diagnosis and treatment plan. I felt not only seen as an individual, but confident in his plan. I recommend Dr. John on all levels of treatment!

May 3, 2026 at 11:58 pmIn fairness, I want to note that I did not see any doctors today. My one-star rating is due entirely to the lack of communication from the office staff.
I scheduled this appointment back in October and clearly explained that I have a lazy eye (stenosis) and wanted to see a doctor who specializes in this condition. The person who scheduled my appointment assured me that they could set me up with the appropriate doctor.
I live in Hawkinsville, which is an hour’s drive one way. I took sick leave from work to attend this appointment. When I arrived and checked in, I again explained the reason for my visit. At that point, the receptionist informed me that the doctor who specializes in stenosis of the eye has not been in the office since April, but that I could still receive a routine eye exam.
That was not the purpose of my visit. I was extremely disappointed to learn that I had wasted sick leave time and gas to drive to Macon for an appointment that should never have been scheduled. I clearly explained my needs when making the appointment, and proper communication from the staff would have prevented this situation entirely.

The receptionist was very sweet and professional, the wait time wasn’t bad, the tech was great very kind and considerate ( my husband has memory issues) ,the doctor was wonderful. Frankly I couldn’t ask for better care.
