My father-in-law has been in and out of the hospital for the last few weeks and has been seen by multiple doctors for this issue since the end of November. He presented to the ER at Sulphur Springs and was seen by Dr. Hawkins. Since that meeting, the quality of care has been nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Hawkins has gone above and beyond to ensure that my father-in-law was being treated correctly, as well as getting to the root cause of his issues. Dr. Hawkins is an absolute miracle to have here in Sulphur Springs. His extensive knowledge in the field of urological oncology is a huge plus for care. Not just any doctor, he has a long list of accolades and many years of serving people at the Mayo Clinic as well. Appreciation abounds, and what a blessing it truly is to have him here with us in Sulphur Springs. Thank you, Dr. Hawkins!

I would also like to thank one of the RNs who has been taking care of my father-in-law. Brandy Seagraves, RN, is an outstanding nurse. She provided exceptional care for my father-in-law during his hospital stay in Sulphur Springs. Brandy is incredibly sharp, an excellent critical thinker, and consistently attentive to the details that truly matter in patient care. She listened closely to our family’s concerns, communicated them clearly to the providers, and coordinated care effectively to ensure nothing was overlooked. She also did an excellent job guiding and managing other staff members to maintain a high standard of care throughout her time with him. Our family felt confident and reassured knowing he was in such capable, compassionate hands, and we are extremely grateful for her professionalism and leadership.

My husband was admitted for nearly a week for an asthma attack and breathing problems. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about his well-being. No one wants to be in the hospital, but they made our experience as positive as it could have possibly been.

The PA was horrible sent me home and canceled my testing when I still had low oxygen. ER nurses and DRs were horrible didn’t care what I had to say nothing. There was one older nurse and she was good to me. She got everything rolling. 1 Night nurse was wonderful. I can’t remember her name though.

But before this trip I was there Nov. 2024 for double knee replacements and they almost killed me.

Nice and polite, but useless. Gave me tramadol for gallbladder and kidney stones. When will they learn tramadol is basically “toddler medicine”. Lol. Said they can’t give me something that works better for pain, meanwhile I’ve been hurting pretty bad for the past few days and nights.

Yesterday around 5pm I took my 4 month old son to get checked out as he was having retractions in his ribs and neck and struggling to breathe. We were finally seen and I assured the nurse that came in that something is wrong with my son. He didn’t even attempt to give an exam and only listened to his chest for 2 seconds. And told me “since he’s smiling and not being fussy there’s nothing wrong with him.” When we got home he was still having the same problems I made an appointment with his pediatrician as soon as they opened and turns out he has pneumonia. I am baffled bc I always thought sulphur springs hospital and staff for the er were very kind and a good place to go, but after last night I will NEVER be back there. He did not try to look at the way he was breathing, or even attempt to diagnose anything, told us to just go home and hope it gets better. I’m truly appalled at the careless behavior towards my infant child by this man.
