May 8, 2026 at 7:21 pmI received the unit dirty and even then they charged me a cleaning fee after moving out of $190. They are also charging carport and Liability insurance after moving out.
Helpful ReviewThe billing team is slow in e-mail responses and haven’t solved this. I just want my deposit back of $500 and not unfair charges.
There was an electricity issue the first month which damaged my device and it was due to a poor electric wiring installation with poor insulation.
They don’t answer calls and there is no personal assistance in the complex.
I don’t recommend this complex at all

May 8, 2026 at 7:21 pmTo the current residents, you are possibly having a good, convenient life now. I had no issue with rat/mice/bed bugs during my one year lease. The squirrels are pretty aggressive though, I encountered one in the small patio(first floor), and it requested food from me, but I got nothing in my hand, so it just climbed through my leg. This is impressive, because while I’m screaming because of that, my upper floor started to yell.
Helpful ReviewOkay, not important, LOL
Except the squirrels, the strict garbage rules, everything else is fine. The location is the best, I guess that’s the most important reasone most of the residents chose here. They do have a well planned enviroment, nice landscape and layout. You will feel nice and happy as long as you don’t have any encountering with the house management.
Just like us.
Most of the unpleasant experiences started while we tried to follow the official procedue to sub-lease the left contract to some residents who would like to take it. The lady who claimed to be the manager in 2015, is rude, and a racist. I don’t know whethere she’s still working there. She’s the most rude and unfriendly woman I’ve ever seen after coming to this country. I guess I’m just lucky, yes, during the 17 years living in this country, birch creek showed me the most ugly one. Even you followed evey requirements, she still can denyyour request based on her mood, and oh yes, while she was saying ‘You can’t talk to anyone els, I’m the manager’, I can’t forget her tone. No matter what, if you wanna complete the process, you had nothing else to do, you had to make her satisfied.
That’s a nightmare.
Luckily, we found a family of post doctor of stanford, and they just moved to the bay area, would like to stay short time to learn more about the area firstly. They finaly took our apartment of the left months. They had very good first impression of birch creek, just like us, they even thought of moving here after the short term rental ends. Until, the water pipes broke, and flooded the whole apartment. I felt soooo sorry for that. It just happened a few days after they moved in, and they are so reasonable, never blamed that on us. And birch creek never took any loss for them! The wife of the couple even stayed during the moving out check, because they know the condition while we left, and they already knew the housing management, they wanna stopped they requested more unreasonable charge on us!
Sorry the story is wordy.
Hopefully you will have a nice stay at birch creek, as long as you won’t have any extra encounterment with their house management. Also, watch out your deposit.

May 8, 2026 at 7:21 pmBirch Creek is a wonderful apartment community! I have lived here for over a year and can attest to the quality and value of this apartment complex.
My favorite part about this place is the greenery, impeccably maintained throughout the year and attracts squirrels, ducks and various birds which you can hear chirping during the day. The trees are beautiful and there’s a creek that flows through the property.
The apartments themselves are designed and constructed well. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is incredibly spacious and the bedrooms are quite a nice size as well. Each apartment also comes with a fairly large balcony. The only downside is the apartments do not have air conditioning, only heating – so expect to need a portable air conditioner or the like during the summer months.
In terms of management, I have been pleased with the quality of service and level of responsiveness to any concerns. Maintenance requests can be conveniently submitted through a mobile app, and are addressed pretty quickly.
Overall, this is a great place to live. I am posting this review because all the negatives ones almost stopped me from living here!

May 8, 2026 at 7:21 pmMy first week and I am already having a bad experience due to lack of responsibility from the management team. The entire community of 180 apartments rely only on one machine to buy and load a card to do laundry. It has been almost a week since the machine has been out of order and the management keeps saying that it will be fixed in the next 48 hours.
