Wow, what an experience! You arrive to the building and have to take an elevator up to the restaurant and are greeted with a beautiful vibe I wish I could have at my house. Low-lit lighting, foliage, and decor reminiscent of a coastal getaway. We met friends here for restaurant week and ordered off the tailored menu. For my order, the mocktail was a fun twist, the appetizer wasn’t a traditional salad but still delicious, the main was served on a beautiful sombrero plate, and the dessert filled me over the top! I loved that the Greek salad was essentially a block of cheese with tomatoes, (I even got to try something new, a caper berry) no complaints here! The main left a little to be desired as perhaps mashed potatoes could have been mixed differently but the pomegranate seeds complimented the small bit of short rib excellently. The date cake dessert was a fabulous new experience that kept me going spoonful after spoonful. Wow! So glad I got to have the Aba experience!

Perfect date night spot on a Saturday. I somehow got lucky the morning of to get a resy. Lexi was our server and she was absolutely amazing! I would want her again when we come back! She provided great recommendations, had wonderful etiquette, and even packed up our food for us. She went above and beyond! The food came out HOT and was absolutely delicious! We’re mainly vegetarians but do enjoy seafood from time to time, and the scallops were perfectly charred and paired so well with the corn base. We ordered the wild mushroom humus, holiday item that featured potato pancakes, grilled cauliflower kebab, hokkaido scallops, and pistachio frozen greek yogurt. Everything was fantastic and I’m already thinking about when we’ll be back. The atmosphere is nice with great music. Highly recommend when you’re in Chicago!

I’ve visited this spot three times now, once for brunch and twice for dinner. The food has been consistently delicious. The green harissa chicken is a standout, and the chocolate babka French toast is easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The pita and hummus always taste incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes are generous across the board.

It’s a popular spot, so expect a bit of a wait as well as delay in service during busy weekends, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. The only minor downside was that on one of my visits, the music was played at a volume that made conversation a bit difficult.

Overall, best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to in Chicago

Beautiful atmosphere the best service. I especially enjoyed the dips and appetizer plates. The meats (kebabs and skirt steak) were not to my liking but I know people who would like them. The whipped feta and roasted garlic hummus are worth a repeat trip.

Aba is hands down the best Mediterranean spot I’ve ever gone to. I’ve traveled all over Israel, Lebanon, Greece, and Cyprus, eating everything from street food to hidden gems, and this place tops it all.We went once for dinner, loved it so much we came back next day for brunch. Service was spot on—super friendly staff that made it feel chill. Presentation was art on the plate and tasted otherworldly. The vibe was upscale but relaxed, just elite. Presentation and interior were breathtaking. Chicago folks, get to Aba. 5 stars no question.
