Over the years, I have visited St David’s Georgetown Hospital on several occasions for medical emergencies. I have consistently felt comfortable and confident in the care provided to my family. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet with the hospital’s CEO, and I am genuinely impressed and enthusiastic about the advancements and progress being made at our local hospital.

Worst hospital is Georgetown! How to bring my diabetic godfather in for high glucose and high blood pressure. Was admitted to the second floor. However, after admission, the second floor staff were absolutely incompetent. Not even having his charts ready or any of the information I had given them in the ER. Not having his medications correct. Then most importantly not putting him on a diabetic diet until the third day he was here. Serving him things that could kill him. Then the cherry on top, waiting until he was almost 400 glucose to give him insulin. They claim they don’t take it seriously until it is 400 and up. So you’re telling me their protocol is to wait until their patient is dying to treat them. Seems to me y’all just want to keep him in a bed to make money and do nothing else. Absolutely incompetent! Do not trust these people with your family or your lives! Whole system needs to be restaffed and retrained! Unacceptable and dangerous. Probably need to report this!

Today our daughter had surgery after breaking her wrist, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the incredible team who cared for her.

Dr. English was exceptional. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly, but what meant the most to our family was that he prayed — over our daughter, over the staff, and over himself. Hearing him pray for our girl as if she were his own child brought so much comfort, especially since this was her very first surgery.

The entire staff was amazing. I’m so sorry I can’t remember every name, but a special thank you to our nurses, Jayleen and James — absolute rock stars! Her anesthesiologist, Dr. Sloan, and the sweetest woman assisting him (I believe her name was Sara — forgive me if I’m mistaken) were so kind and reassuring. Her recovery team was just as wonderful.

We are beyond grateful for the care, compassion, and love shown to our daughter today. Thank you all for taking such incredible care of our girl.

I can’t say enough about how lovely everyone was. Starting with Dawn who worked with me on all the pre op stuff. She is amazing and sets the stage for what to expect for your surgical experience. Cannot say enough about her ability to turn my trepidation into confidence that I would be very well taken care of. Which I was! Then there’s Nadine. She was funny, patient, kind and empathetic. Best IV experience I’ve had in a long time. She really made me and my mom feel comfortable and heard. There were other amazing nurses that I can’t remember their names. They were equally as warm. Truly grateful to everyone for such a positive experience.

I highly recommend St. Davids Georgetown. I woke up with severe pain in the middle of the night it felt like I couldn’t breathe. I called for EMS they took great care of me and transported me to St Davids Georgetown when I arrived i was greeted by two nurses that were wonderful. The doctor was very sweet and considerate of my symptoms. When I was given results and explained next steps i felt that they listened and not just dismiss my symptoms. I ended up having surgery all the staff was amazing, compassionate and made me feel at ease. All staff involved should be recognized and given a raise for their dedication to serve the patients. Thank you so much to everyone involved in my care from start to finish the
