Wonderful! The service was so kind and helpful. The fish was THE BEST! I loved the fried cod. Also, a dedicated gluten free fryer! Also, the gf clam chowder was amazing! We will be back! I tried to get pictures before my boys snatched some fish but I was a little too slow. So good!

A taste for fish led us here. We’ve been here before. It’s good. I had the medium cod fish & chips. It comes with 3 pieces of fish, fries and coleslaw. The fries could’ve been a bit more crispy. The coleslaw always needs more dressing in it. The fish was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The tartar sauce was just right, piquant as it should be.
She had the large Caesar salad and steamer clams from the appetizer menu. She enjoyed the Caesar salad. The clams were done perfect and she ate them all including the sauce left in the bowl.
I had lemonade and she had the Citrus Mistress beer. Both good.

We found this resturant from Google Mapsduring our trip to Astoria so stopby and give it a try as it had a good reviews. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. There are plenty of parking around. The interior is nicely decorated, and the awards displayed on the wall gave a promising first impression.

Service started off well with drinks brought out right away, but we waited about 15 minutes before placing our order, and the food took another 25 minutes to come out. I noticed just a chef and 1-2 servers, so be prepare for some delay. We ordered the halibut and chips, along with a clam dish in red sauce.

The halibut was decent, though not as fresh as what we’ve had in Long Beach. The fries weren’t fresh. The clams were small, and the red sauce—made with celery, tomatoes, and julienned carrots—was an unusual combination to me. The overall flavor was just okay for me.

Passing through the area and stopped at this great little restaurant. I had tuna albacore melt and was superb! Good sized portions too! My wife had blackened halibut sandwich and was generous portion as well! We will stop here again if ever passing back through Kelso WA in the future.

You’d think their halibut would be amazing because of the restaurant name, but it was a great disappointment. It tasted like old grease. I’m glad we shared the small basket! The fries were over-salted and the chowder was flavorless and watery. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant itself is cute and the service is friendly.
