I walked into Pelican Restaurant without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. The service was excellent from start to finish — the staff were friendly, attentive, and very welcoming.
The food was delicious and well prepared, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Great service, great servers, and great seafood — definitely worth 5 stars. Highly recommended!!!!!!

The food was delicious, and our waiter was amazing! It’s a little tight in there but it’s cozy. Only thing I would have liked to see were prices on the menu. I ordered lobster poutine, it said market price, I was under the impression $52 apprx, it was $73 for a poutine!!! Crazy!! But it was delicious

We ordered the “THE ORVILLE MAGOON
SUPER DUPER SEAFOOD TOWER” and it was superb. The shrimp and lobster were cooked to perfection, just enough bounce but not chewy. The oysters tasted fantastic and the fully loaded mussels were really good. I enjoyed the lobster pate a lot, not to say that the ceviche and tartar were not enjoyable, but man, that lobster pate.

We were only able to get a reservation at the bar, so I highly advise booking well in advance. I think in some ways the bar experience actually helped our experience as we got more attention from our lovely server. The staff all looked like they were having a good time rather than being at work… Despite actually working efficiently and diligently.

This translates to the atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s a very lively environment, it feels festive. Everyone is laughing and feels like everyone’s needs and desires are taken care of.

I will definitely visit the restaurant again. I’m surprised that it’s taken me this long to find this gem.

This place is amazing. The freshness and quality matches what I get when ordering seafood by the coasts on vacations.

The clam/seafood chowder was comparable to the chowder Ive had in New England.

The oysters were perfect. Fresh, not overly salty. Just perfect.

The lobster roll did need a bit more seasoning but the lobster itself was so fresh.

The server was alright. She did her table checks but wouldn’t remove anything from out table. The table was very small for 2 and we had to offload all the dishes off our our table onto the dirty table extra to us in order for our actual plates to fit without knocking things on the floor.

The market itself was pretty amazing. We got a ton of seafood for a tower for today. There were many options to choose from. I would ask for some more high end caviar but omg the food they provide is top quality.

First time to visit was Saturday and came back 4 days later! And already made my next reservation! The food is amazing. Service is awesome. I love that the menu is simple. They do seafood. And they don’t hide delicious seafood behind complex over the top recipes. First time here I got 6 oysters. My husband, who had always said he hates oysters, tried them. Guess who ordered a dozen this go round? Go figure. ;). Do yourself a favor and buy a shrimp and feta quiche on your way out. You can thank me later.
