I love it here. It makes me and my husband very happy. The staff is wonderful. The amenities are great, yes, they were closed for renovations but hey, they gotta do it in order to fix it, no? The maintenance guys are PHENOMENAL. Super helpful, always there to answer questions. The only thing that annoys me is how much our rent goes up with each lease renewal. If we ever move out it will be because we are leaving LA or because the price becomes ridiculous with all the rent adjustments every 2 years. Other than that, it’s a great place to live in 🙂 nothing is perfect but they try.

Living at Palazzo East was a huge disappointment.

The pool was closed for 5 months, the spa has been closed since May and still wasn’t open when I moved out in late October. These were the main amenities we chose the building for, and they were unavailable most of the time with no updates or apologies.
If you have an EV, it’s a nightmare: you pay $25/month plus charging, but there are only two chargers for the whole building, usually blocked by cars that aren’t even charging.
After one year, my rent was raised by $300, while new tenants were offered the same unit for the old price. I asked for an adjustment — they refused. From my $1,500 deposit, I got a little over $200 back, even though the apartment was in great condition.
The property is poorly maintained: the walkways are often dirty from dogs, and the parcel room is constantly overflowing.
And dealing with the general manager, Andy Tanner, was extremely frustrating. He gives different information from one email to another, and you have to pull details out of him. If you need to talk to him — get everything in writing and be very specific.
We were great tenants and still got treated poorly.
If you’re looking for a stable, well-managed place — look somewhere else.

I am writing a follow-up to my original review because things in this building have actually gotten worse. Management responded with a generic, automated message saying to “reach out to Susan,” so I did exactly that. I emailed Susan on 12/1, attaching the ongoing issues I’ve been experiencing.

    She never replied.
    Not a single follow-up.
    Not even an acknowledgment.

Their responses to these reviews are 100% performative. They do not care about tenant safety, concerns, or well-being. The replies are copy-and-paste PR — nothing more.

In the last week alone, I have had over $4,000 in packages stolen from inside the building. Several neighbors have had packages stolen as well. The leasing office has done absolutely nothing to address this or improve security. No updates, no apologies, no solutions. They don’t even pretend to help.

Between the lack of safety, the ongoing harassment issues I posted about in my original review, the broken and constantly blaring door alarm, and now thousands of dollars in stolen packages, it is clear that this building is not being managed by people who care about residents at all.

I will be attaching the screenshot of my email that they never responded to because the pattern is obvious:
They ignore tenants until a public review appears, then post a fake “we’d love to help” response — and disappear again as soon as the cameras are off.

    Nothing has changed.
    No concerns are addressed.
    No one is held accountable.

This building is not safe. The management is not responsive. And their review replies are not genuine.

I strongly stand by everything I said in my first review, and now I can confirm the situation is even worse than I initially realized.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Andy Tanner for all his help in finding my new 2-bedroom flat at the Palazzo East. I have officially moved in, and I could not be happier with my new home. Even though I loved my 2-story penthouse, Andy was extremely helpful in finding this flat that is perfect for me.

The location is lovely, and the flat itself has exceeded my expectations. It’s cozy, quiet, and the best; it has windows all around that I can leave open It also has all the amenities I was hoping for. I’ve started to settle in which is no easy task, and I can already feel that this place is going to be a wonderful sanctuary for me.

Thank you for understanding my needs and preferences so well. Your dedication and expertise made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I genuinely appreciate your hard work and commitment to finding the right place for me and my pup Willie GSB.

At night, the fire pit helps me stay calm, and there I can look up at the sky through the trees and steady my breathing.
The well-tended gardens remind me of a resort 🫠
And the staff are always kind, greeting me with warm smiles, which makes this place delightful 🙂
