May 6, 2026 at 4:42 amSpent Summer 2025 in 55 John Street location and had a great experience. Located right next to subway station, about half a block away that easily takes you to midtown area. also less than a 10 minute walk to Brooklyn bridge. Enjoyed meeting other interns in the building!

I had a wonderful experience with my ehs housing and would highly recommend. You can only have limited guests and they do check but i understand for security purposes. The air conditioning was AMAZING, the only negative is sometimes you have to air dry bc the washer doesn’t always rinse all the water out but besides that i had a clean and wonderful stay here 🙂 highly recommend to future interns

Maintenance is lacking (Laundry machines, Wifi, Fire safety, Kitchen: all of these have been in barely-functioning condition for a very very long time). Newly installed AC units are broken for the majority of people I’ve talked to. A year later, still not fixed.

May 6, 2026 at 4:42 amReally wish I looked into subleasing for the summer instead. Building conditions are horrible. Paint falls from the ceiling weekly. No ventilation in bathrooms. 1 kitchen for 17 floors. Guest checkin process is a NIGHTMARE. Rude front desk staff (except for 1 guy). Elevators breaking down constantly. If you are looking for a place to stay for the summer, PLEASE think long and hard about if you’re willing to go through 10 weeks of living in a dump. Not worth the expensive cost of living for what you get.
