May 2, 2026 at 9:23 amThis place has been incredibly disappointing. We had to get it sight unseen due to a last minute relocation, but agree with another review – make sure you see the actual unit you’ll be living in. The place is really chintzy, with just some fresh paint and fake wood floors and marble countertops to make it look “fancy”. In the 5 short months we’ve been here we have had to have one bathroom ceiling entirely replaced from an upstairs leak (they think) that caused the ceiling to cave in, the other bathroom’s tub reglazed (all of the bathroom surfaces will be chipped), blinds replaced, sink leaks fixed, etc. With the reglaze of the tub, no one notified us that our bathroom would be unusable and we would have to be out of the apartment – where we both work – after they did it due to the smell. Some of the windows are so disgusting you can’t see out of them. It’s just not worth the money or effort you have to put into managing all the stuff that’s wrong.
There are some redeeming qualities that deserve credit. Karen in the main office we love because she clearly cares and wants to help, but her hands are usually tied by the big corporate wolves. She’s the best and should get a raise since she’s the best thing they’ve got going for them here. The building manager Ibrahim is also so sweet and responsive, as is his maintenance team. You might see him a lot, but it’s always a lovely experience and you can tell he’s a wonderful human who is exceptionally customer-service oriented an also cares. And, the neighborhood is also very cute. There are some good restaurants and shops, a great Sunday farmers market and yoga studio, and it’s a block from the red line. There’s also a wonderful trail along Sligo Creek nearby and the area has a really close-knit neighborhood feel.

When we first moved in, our unit needed several repairs, from a flooding dishwasher to a faulty water heater, and Ibrahim handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He was always responsive and made sure the work was done properly. The maintenance team was thorough and efficient, and thanks to their efforts our home is now in great shape. We really appreciate the care and attention they put into making sure everything was resolved.

May 2, 2026 at 9:23 amWe moved to Takoma Central in 2022, and the management and building maintenance at the time were horrid. Bozzuto however has been much better. We still have some complains; around the various fees that the new management brought in, and there are some other issues, like the trash chute smelling up the hallway. But all in all it’s a solid place to live. I wouldn’t call it luxury, but it’s nice.

I’ve been here only a few months and had a few issues with appliances and they were so quick to help! They patiently explained the issue at hand and also offered solutions with great care and diligence, not to mention the quick turnaround on multiple maintenance requests. Thank you to the Takoma Central team!
