The yoga and meditation practices were grounding and uplifting, and the workshops were powerful and insightful. The teachings by Krishna Das were profound and delivered with so much wisdom and care. Each day felt purposeful and aligned on every level.
Everyone from staff to attendees was incredibly welcoming, kind, and joyful. There was a true sense of community and spiritual family.
A moment that really touched me was when they upgraded me from an outdoor cabin to an indoor room due to the weather, at no extra charge. That simple yet thoughtful gesture spoke volumes. It showed that at Ananda, service comes before profit, and care for people is at the center of everything they do.

Each time, the experience has been uplifting and rejuvenating. The organized retreats are thoughtfully created with inspiring content and activities. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the food is delicious. There are several yoga and meditation opportunities. This is a very spiritual and healing place. And it has some of the best views in the world! The people, the instructors, and the staff are all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend Expanding Light.

I came as a Karma Yogi to learn how a spiritual community operates as well as deepen my spiritual life. This place is it if you’re in America. I have visited a few other communities but this one has one clear purpose, to help the individual spiritual seeker on their path. From yoga, satsangs, spiritual guidance and support (which is free if you’re a Karma Yogi) to musical events. I mean the list goes on & on. Maghe with her outrageous Halloween costumes, which she loans out for free. Sambhava was organizing the yogis and he showed up calmly with a kind ear and gentle way to handle a lot of yogis. I am so grateful to Swami Kriyananda for never giving up, so there is a safe & loving space for real spiritual growth & SUPPORT! I even am thinking about joining the community. Much love to all !

It is truly inspiring and very comfortable way to recharge from daily grind. Take advantage of sadhana, yoga and meditation for deeper bliss and indulge in delish, nutritious food everyday, good for your body and soul. The moment I left I wanted to go back and relive the joy at Ananda.
